You just never know…

Above: Snoop-a-loop on vacation at Robyn's house.

Zachary has a dog that he loves very much-named Snoopy. Snoopy live with Zach’s mom Carrie and Iggy. Snoopy is a great dog, Paul and Carrie got him when he was just a puppy, oh I’d say about 8 years ago. Anyway, while everyone is away most of the day Snoopy would get walked by this amazing dog walker named Robyn. I had never met her but we heard great things about her. She loved walking dogs and she was very energetic with a bubbly personality. Robyn loved walking Snoopy and the many other dogs she took care of. From the pictures I am posting she looked like a very happy person and enjoyed what she did for a living.

Sadly, a few days ago Robyn was found in a local park where she walks the dogs on lying on the ground – she had a heart attack. She was lying on the ground when someone discovered her and when she was found she was in serious condition. She died two days later – she was only 32 years old.

Carrie was telling Paul that she had seen her the day before she died. She was wearing a new sundress and smiling and laughing and singing about how beautiful the day was in San Francisco. It blows my mind to think that someone can be gone that fast. You see them that day and poof they are dead hours later. Its things like this that make me realize how short life can be and how you really should enjoy yourself to the fullest! Take chances in life, do something you never thought you would do, be crazy, laugh more, sing in front of people, run naked down the street, don;t take yoursefl so seriously….just live life to the fullest.

I’ll never forget my first experience with death…I was 13 years old and my grandfather had come to visit me, it was the end of June 1987. He had bought me a brand new bicycle I still remember it was a BMX bike and it was gold and black. I was so happy!! When my grandfather was leaving I gave him a big hug and thanked him and as he drove away I rode my bike alongside waving and smiling to my grandfather. I stopped at the top of the street and watched him drive away and waved to him the while time. It was the last time I ever saw him; he died a few days later. I think about all the things I wish I could of told him, I wish I would have told him I loved him more. I wish I had told him what he meant to me.

For no reason at all, you should tell the people you care about how much they mean to you, you never know when they could be gone…forever.

Robyn was a roommate of ours for a couple of years right after she moved to SF. I adored her and her big dog, Monkey. She always made me smile and was just a great person to be around.

I was not only shocked but deeply saddened by the news.

Rest in peace Robyn. The world will miss you.

What a small world that one of your readers lived with Robyn -- and Monkey. We loved Robyn so much and her memorial service was heartwrenching. She made our transition to San Francisco so fantastic and we loved having her in our lives. Snoopy spent a lot of time with her when we traveled and curled right up with Monkey and they loved to lick each other's faces incessantly :-)
