I'm moving to San Francisco!!

Well, I am following suit with my better half and moving to San Francisco! My partner, Paul, and our son, Zach, have only been away for two months and I have realized that it's been two months too long. I really miss them both and want to be with them....so off I go!! It looks like I will be leaving Boston sometime in January, so it's approaching fast! I have a few great job leads but I am keeping them hush hush until I nail one of them (don't want to jinx it!)

I am a little nervous today because I am giving my notice at work. I have worked for Arnold advertising agency for almost five years, so it's going to be hard to leave this place that I have spend the majority of my time at. Arnold was the guiding force for me getting into advertising. For those of you who don’t know my background, I came to Boston in 2000 and I was homeless, I had recently left a ten-year relationship and it ended very badly. So I was homeless on the streets exactly six years ago. I managed to work my way into Arnold in early 2002 getting a job catering for the agency. After a year of being at Arnold, I proved myself as a hard worker and very passionate about Arnold. I was offered a job actually working in advertising at Arnold as a junior traffic manager and I took it. After a few promotions and raises, I not only mastered the traffic position but I earned the respect and trust of Arnold. I will forever be grateful for Arnold for giving me a chance and a career direction. I will never forget the agency or the wonderful people I have worked with throughout the years. Sappy I know...sorry.:-P

Anyway, a new year is approaching and I am off on a new adventure. This year is going to be the best year ever! A new city, a new job and my new book is coming out as well! Stay tuned to my blog and see how everything unfolds!

Neil - let me be the first to give you a comment. Congrats. I know the feeling that you mention, that one of indestructable certainty...i've had the same sensation and it's hard to convince others just what it means. I know what its like to leave your "home" to follow your heart - with all of MY heart I with you all the best with the knowledge that this isnt that last i've seen of Neil Maciejewski. :-)
